St Patrick's Festival

St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland.Celebrated on March 17th St Patrick's Day is a national holiday for the Republic of Ireland. As the Irish government established the national celebration of St Patrick's Day it became better known as St Patrick's festival with events lasting over 5 days.

St Patrick's Festival Events

For the 5 day festival there are many activities for young and old including music events, comedy events, street performances, street theatres and much more. It is estimated that over 4000 performers and 1 million spectators are expected to be involved in the 5 day celebration of the St Patrick's festival.

From Friday 14th March - Monday 17th March, a Funfair will be located in Merrion Square, Dublin City Centre, which has free admission and 2 Euro rides. There are also many other family friendly events taking place all over the city including the Babe Rave in Temple Bar for the youngest members of the family.

St Patrick's Day Parade Dublin

With Dublin City being the capital of the Republic it holds the largest St Patrick's Day Parade in Ireland. The parade itself is held on March 17th and passes O'Connell Street where you can get an amazing view of the parade from the grandstand.( Admittance to the grandstand costs around 60 Euro).
